Members should take particular notice of the dates for our lectures. These lectures are occasionally extra to our normal programme and sometimes are held on days of the week other than a Monday

Conditions of Application:

1. Applicants will be interviewed by the council and, if approved, will be asked to give a 10/15 minute audition before the Members at the next appropriate meeting of the society. The audition is intended to ensure only magicians or those with a genuine interest in magic are afforded membership.

2. Upon completion of the audition, the Applicant will leave the meeting. A vote by the members will be taken to determine whether the Applicant has been successful or not, the result of which will be notified to the Applicant in writing by the secretary.

3. Successful candidates will be afforded Associate membership of the society upon remittance of a £50 joining fee and one year’s subscription of £60.


4. Members are eligible to attend all meetings of the society and are eligible for full benefits of the society including:
a) Free admission to lectures.
b) Regular newsletters.
c) Use of the society reference library.
d) Eligibility to enter society competitions.
e) Eligibility to vote in society competitions.
f) Eligibility to vote in AGM and membership applications.
g) Use of “Member of the Newcastle Upon Tyne Magic Circle” in advertising and publicity so long as subscriptions are paid in full.
